Rules
Men’s and Women’s Open Divisions
These are player driven tournaments. There must be some responsibility put on your shoulders to ensure the success of the double elimination format. We have a structured system covering the player’s responsibilities including: game times, warm-ups, court assignments, and referees. We don’t want to have to enforce penalty points, but if you are assigned to be the referee for a match and leave, you will pay double to play in the next tournament. The tournament will only be as good or efficient as you make it. We thank you for your efforts and are always looking for your input.

Score Sheets
Athletes are asked to referee games/matches when they are not assigned to play. Accurately complete a score sheet for each match. Bring the score sheet to the registration table following each game/match to ensure progress of the tournament. Ideally brackets will be finishing at similar times so athletes aren’t waiting long periods for other pools to finish. Accurate score sheets will help ensure the efficient and correct championship bracket seedings.
Winning a Division
**If you win two tournaments you MUST move up a division. This rule will be strictly enforced. Thus, if you are playing in BB and win for the second time you MUST move up to A for the remainder of the season, and if you win twice in A then you would move up to AA and so on. If you a playing with a partner who has not won at the lower division and you have already won twice, you must play in the higher division, no exceptions!
AAA Per individual:
You are only eligible to win AAA division twice in a season. If you win more then twice you are eligible to compete, but you will NOT receive the cash prize.
If you win AAA you are eligible for ONE (1) comp into Open per year. Comp is not applicable for Miami Beach. Comps into Open division expire that season and DO NOT carry over. If you win AAA in Miami Beach, your comp entry to Open will follow to next season.
